Your attention is three great series about women, love and infidelity, from which it is almost impossible to tear yourself away. All three projects have a high viewer rating, positive reviews from critics, as well as a thoughtful and high-quality storyline. Go.
Why Women Kill (2019 – present) Season 1
What the series is about: the plot tells about three different women: the ideal housewife from the distant 1963; an extravagant socialite from the not so distant 1984; and the polyamorous lawyers from our 2019. They all live in the same house, and they all have serious problems on their personal front.
Why you should watch: in addition to the intriguing plot (a hint of three future murders) and the absence of sagging in the plot, the series boasts excellent acting, high-quality black humor, as well as depicting unusual, but quite life situations.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017 – present), 2 seasons
What the show is about: The show follows the typical Upper West Side resident Miriam “Midge” Maisel. She has been married for four years, has two children and, without exaggeration, is an ideal wife and housewife. Despite this, her husband still finds a hobby on the side, and having collected his things in her own suitcase, goes into the sunset. This unexpected twist of fate not only does not break Miriam, but also helps in revealing the unrealized facet of talent – the ability to joke perfectly, which she begins to actively use.
Why watch it: If you love the Pleasantville aesthetic, then this show is bound to please you. It has almost everything: the sophisticated style of the 60s, incomparable and most importantly ageless humor, a little chest, groovy jazz and, most importantly, all this is an incessant and almost undisguised satire on the lifestyle of wealthy Americans.
Trash / Fleabag (2016-2019), 2 seasons
What the series is about: The series was based on the solo performance of Phoebe Waller-Bridge, which the actress performed in the theater. The plot tells about a young and a little strange girl Fleabag, who lives in modern London, runs a small cafe, meets different guys and has a tense relationship with her family.
Why watch it: Throughout the action, the protagonist communicates freely with the audience. Such a technique not only breaks the “fourth wall”; relays her thoughts or explains actions and deeds, but also increases the amount of British humor, which is more than enough in the series.
