Kylo reveals to Rey the truth of her origins: she is Palpatine’s granddaughter, he killed her parents because they protected her daughter from evil. Leia is dying. Kylo senses this and gives Rey the opportunity to stab himself with the sword. But Ray heals him, Kylo renounces evil.
At the end, the Resistance fights the First Order, while Ray and Ben Solo fight Palpatine. Ray dies, but Ben sacrifices himself and gives her his energy. Light has won.
