According to the author’s memoirs, when working on the text, he tried to select words that would most successfully agree with the rhythm of the composition, so it is hardly worth looking for a deep meaning in the song The Look. Release and achievements
The song was recorded at EMI Studios in Stockholm in the spring of 1988.
The track got into the US thanks to Dean Cushman, who studied in Sweden on a student exchange program. He brought the song to KDWB radio in Minneapolis and asked for it to be played. The listeners liked the composition, got into active rotation at many stations and was widely distributed throughout the country on cassettes.
