The Rolling Stones released the song in January 1967. The single climbed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at number three in the UK. Ruby Tuesday was included on the albums Between the Buttons (US version) and Flowers.
In the ranking of the 500 best songs of all time according to Rolling Stone magazine, Ruby Tuesday is ranked 310th.
