Release and achievements
In 1986, Wonderful Life was released as a single on Ugly Man Records and peaked at number 72 on the UK Singles Chart. But the main thing was that A&M Records drew attention to the group, which signed a contract with Black. The Wonderful Life single was re-released and soon became a worldwide hit. No less popular was the album of the same name, which was presented to the public in 1987.
Colin once commented on a similar success as follows:
I think people understand that a great life does not mean no problems. Rather, it means that you know how to deal with them, know how to solve them. Wonderful Life is a good song for those times when people need some positivity.
Until the last days of his life, fans wrote to him, who told him what Wonderful Life means to them. Colin said that, judging by the letters, the song is played equally often at funerals and at weddings.
